Listening to Phillip Glasses “Asknaten.” It was introduced as the story of a man ahead of his time. That’s a good thing? Belief in one god over the many, each with their separate domains — forests, skies, waters. Rejecting this and replacing with one all god is not a step forward. It’s all about us, as individuals. What matters is our relationship, or identity with what we call the universe. Any move to detract from this, like organized religion, takes us farther from the truth. The “truth” being a rejection of mass thought for its own sake. There is no progress in religious belief, not from the ancients through the Greeks, the Church, through today. What matters is one person’s relation to nature and how deeply ingrained that belief it. One soul, one integration.
